Board Of Directors
The Board of Directors are members of our community and presbytery
representatives who care about the welfare and well-being of their
friends and neighbours.
The Board meets eight times a year to offer direction and make
decisions on many issues concerning the House of Lazarus and our
community.

Nancy Colton
An ordained United Church Minister, Nancy has been involved on the Board of the House of Lazarus since 2004. A passion for justice, fairness and equality and a desire to serve the community brough Nancy to the board. Having lived in rural and communities across Canada, Nancy brings a broad perspective and experience that informs her understanding of what it means and what it takes to be community.

Hue LeBlanc
Hue joined the RCAF in 1956. He flew in the CF100 mainly. He received an honorable discharge in 1962 and became an air traffic controller with the Department of Transport. He retired in 1992 and moved to South Mountain. In 2000 Hue was asked to be a board member of the House of Lazarus and accepted. He is concerned with poverty in our area and this is what drew him to the Mission.
Vicki Simzer
Vicki began as a volunteer at the House of Lazarus in 2000. She was invited to join the Board of Directors in 2004. Her love of board games and puzzle solving helps her to piece in committee and board membership for the mission through her role on our Nominations Committee. Vicki is passionate about good stewardship and community both, and currently puts her faith into action by serving on her youngest daughter’s school council, her local fair board, the V.O.N., a regional youth ministry, and numerous committees and ministries within her local faith community. Vicki is employed as a sales consultant for a major advertising media. This position affords her the opportunity to make a living doing what she loves best - building relationships.
