Recycle!

Remember, the House of Lazarus is a partner with Ontario Electronics Stewardship. So bring all your old computers, printers, keyboards, mice, tvs, vcrs, cell phones, etc. for recycling.

Did You Know?

• Two out of three people we serve at the Food Bank are children.
• We've seen a 15% percent rise in request for Food Bank assistance last year alone.
• The items we need the most are kid's lunch items.

Canned vegetables, soups, tuna, salmon and kid's lunch items.

Need a Specific Item?

If you have specific clothing or household item needs, please let our staff know what you need. We may have it on site. If not, we will record it in our Special Needs book. When the item arrives, we will hold it and contact you. All requests are handled on a first come first serve basis.

Coins for Kids' Lunch Program

We collect coins to fund our Kids' Lunch Program. Put your coin jars to good use and bring them in to help our kids. Or drop a few coins in our own jar at the cash when making purchases in the Thrift shop.

Upcoming Event

• June 9th: 7 or 14K Walk (or Run) for Food Fundraiser. Can't make the event but would like to help somehow? Register your support via the web now.
• June 10th: 2-4PM, Come Crusing on the St-Lawrence with the House of Lazarus. Proceeds to the House of Lazarus Food Bank. Tickets $25.

Are you looking for a Doctor?

The Seaway Valley Community Health Centre (SVCHC) is presently accepting new patients at the House of Lazarus site.

You are eligible to become a patient if you live in Dundas County and do not have a primary health care provider, (such as a family doctor or nurse practitioner).
